Calrec Touts Strong Americas Sales

Calrec Audio said it has solidified its position as the leading console manufacturer for high-end television broadcast applications in the Americas. It touted it success to customer loyalty, the addition of a full-time team in the U.S. in the past year and the strong support of its representatives and distributors.

The U.K.-based company pointed to its strong position in the mobile production market, with Calrec products in more than 60 percent of HD trucks on the road in North America, according to the Sports Video Group. OB production companies installing Calrec consoles in mobile production companies this year include Crosscreek, Dome Productions, F&F Productions, Game Creek Video, IMS Productions, Lyon Video, Mira Mobile Television, NEP Denali, NEP Supershooters, Token Creek, Turner Networks and Yes Productions.

Installations of Calrec gear in fixed studio facilities over the past year include ESPN, Fox Business Channel, Global TV, HBO, Home Shopping Network, NBCU, Rogers Communications, Speed Channel, Turner Networks, and the new Major League Baseball network. Regional customers the Americas over the past year include KGW, KMPS, Mega TV, WFLD, WNYW, and TVN and UCTV, Calrec’s first ever sales into Chile.
