Calrec Audio Consoles Selected for NMT HD Trucks

Calrec Audio recently announced that National Mobile Television will be equipping three of its HD production trucks with Calrec audio consoles.

NMT has purchased one of Calrec's 72-fader Alpha consoles, two 64-fader Alphas and an additional Sigma console for these applications. One of the vehicles will be equipped with both Alpha and Sigma consoles.

"NMT chose the Calrec Alphas and Sigma largely because of demand from the freelance community," said John Kemps, vice president of engineering at NMT. "Operators are familiar with Calrec consoles, find them simple to operate, and the I/O routing makes it easy to design and scale the control surface to fit our needs."

The Alpha consoles feature Calrec Bluefin high-density signal processing system, which provides 480 channels of processing on a single DSP card.

The new trucks are designed for sports coverage and are being set up to accommodate more than 100 incoming audio sources.
