Cable Lobby Moves to New Digs
The National Cable & Telecommunications Association has a new home. After 26 years on Embassy Row, the lobby's lease ran out. The new offices are at 25 Massachusetts Ave. NW, near Union Station and a short hike from the halls of Congress.
According to the NCTA, the new digs will have "a state-of-the-art and expanded high-definition theater, and a 'broadband home' display to showcase the services and programming that cable delivers to American consumers every day."
The two-story theater will seat 105 and be THX-sound certified. The broadband home will encompass 1,000 square feet and resemble rooms in a "typical home." Both are expected to be done in about six weeks.
