BSkyB selects NV8256-Plus router, first fruits of Axon and NVision alliance

British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB) has purchased an NV8256-Plus expandable 320x352 digital video router for use in its new Advanced Technology Center.

The sale is the first resulting from a new strategic alliance between Dutch Axon Digital Design and U.S.-based NVision, involving both the distribution and development of new systems for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa.

BSkyB, operator of the UK and Ireland's digital television platform and a broadcaster of sports, movies, entertainment and news, will benefit from the Axon and NVision complementary product portfolios.

The NV8256 digital video router for BSkyB is a readily expanded 256x256 video router switcher with an interconnected second frame allowing expansion to 512x512 with additional modules.
