Tornado Damaged Dielectric Tower Plant to Restart in Two Weeks

In the Nov. 9, 2005 RF Report, TV Technology's sister publication Radio World reported that Dielectric's tower manufacturing facility (formerly Central Tower) in Newburgh, Ind., was damaged by an F-3 tornado that caused significant damage in the area.

Dielectric announced last week that the facility would be back in operation soon. David Wilson, president of Dielectric, said that production was expected to start up again in approximately two weeks and that, "The Dielectric team in Newburgh has done a terrific job assessing damage, developing a plan to resume production and working diligently to ensure that our customers receive the quality of products and services that they have come to expect from Dielectric."

Although the tornado interrupted production at Dielectric Tower's Newburgh plant, the Newburgh office building located a short distance from the plant was not affected.
