Broadcast Technology Companies Rebrand

Three years after acquiring the Grass Valley broadcast company, Thomson has rebranded its Broadcast & Media Solutions brand to simply, Grass Valley.
As part of the name change, the Web site that represents the division www.thompsongrassvalley.com will now be www.grassvalley.com and Web surfers will be automatically directed to the new site.
"This shift is indicative of the commitment Thomson has to the business and the brand," said Marc Valentin, president of the Grass Valley business within Thomson. "As we continue serve our traditional markets and expand into new ones, the equity in the Grass Valley brand will continue to be a decisive advantage for Thomson."
Also, the Discreet division of software and services manufacturer Autodesk has become Autodesk Media and Entertainment Division. The division will continue to be based in Montreal and will continue to provide products and services to film, video and media markets.
