Avid Technology’s multiapplication DS version 10 workstation is now shipping in the United States and will begin shipping in Europe and Asia Pacific this week.
The Avid DS 10 offers editing, compositing, keying, image retouching, paint and graphics capabilities in a single application. It runs on a new high-performance platform and includes color-managed workflows, advanced color correction capabilities, Interplay support, improved conform options, GPU real-time processing, additional dual-link feature support, integration with Avid shared-storage solutions, and a new stereoscopic 3-D container.
The system also offers multistream, 10-bit uncompressed HD, the Avid DNxHD codec, and finishing and mastering of SD, HD-RGB, and 2K/4K files with real-time playback up to 2K.
