The AV8 modules are designed for applications that often require long distance cable runs of audio and video signals.
Audio Technologies (ATI) has unveiled the AV8 series, a new line of CAT5/6 twisted pair transmitters and receivers for composite or S-video and stereo audio (balanced or unbalanced).
The AV8 series of products is the first to be delivered in ATI’s new, compact XFORM size –a 1/8-rack width (with 1 RU- and .5 RU-high variations) package.
The AV8 modules are products for transmitting and receiving composite video or S-video and audio signals up to 1,000 feet over twisted pair UTP cable, such as CAT 5/5e/6. AV8 modules help system integrators maintain professional video quality while taking advantage of the reduced cost, weight, size and ease of termination found with twisted pair cable. UTP cable is a fraction of the size of coaxial cable. It is lighter, more flexible, easier to terminate and less expensive.
