Wegener has received a $1 million order for its iPump digital media manadgement and distribution platform from Ascent Media Network Services , a division of Santa Monica, Calif.-based Ascent Media Group.
Ascent Media's shopping list included the Wegener iPump Media Server, MediaPlan Asset Management System, Compel Control and Encryption System and Unity Satellite Receivers.
The tools will allow Ascent to convert a television distribution network from analog to digital and upgrade the network's capabilities.
"Wegener's iPumps are very versatile, we are using them in multiple solutions for our customers, from broadcast video distribution to private network television," said Tom Canavan, executive vice president, Ascent Media Systems and Technology Services.
