Apple, Sony put HD on the road
Apple Computer and Sony have kicked off a nationwide tour to demonstrate how Final Cut Studio, MacBook Pro and the XDCAM HD system can be combined to create an efficient high definition production workflow.
Tour dates and cities include:
- Boston on July 12
- San Francisco on July 13
- Los Angeles on July 18
- Gaithersburg, MD, on July 18
- New York City on July 19
- Atlanta on July 26
- Chicago on August 1
Timed to coincide with the tour is the introduction of Sony’s transfer software for use with the Macintosh OS X version 10.4 Tiger. The software provides native interoperability between Sony’s XDCAM HD Professional Disc system and Apple’s Final Cut Pro nonlinear editing software.
The software is available free of charge online from www.sony.com/xdcamhd and will be demonstrated by both companies during the tour.
