Accom Closes Shop
By TVTechnology published
Despite launching new products at NAB, Accom-- maker of recording equipment, storage devices and servers for TV broadcasting--closed its doors, effective June 16, 2005. In April, the Menlo Park, Calif.-based company launched AirCleaner Delay System, used in live broadcasts to catch slips of the tongue and "wardrobe malfunctions."
In a notice on the company's Web site, Junaid Sheikh, Chairman and CEO of Accom said the company will continue to provide technical support for customers. "I would like to thank all our customers, resellers and employees for their unwavering support and commitment over the years. We intend to continue to provide technical support to our customers for as long as the support revenues justify it."
