Yes Network puts HD pieces in place for Yankees coverage

The Leitch Technology Opus HD master control switcher is a key component of Yes Network’s build out of HD production capability.

Yes Network, which provides New York Yankees coverage, has built out its production capabilities to telecast games in high definition television.

The fully integrated HD system revolves around several high definition devices from Leitch Technology. The new high-definition installation features the company’s Opus HD master control switcher, Integrator and Panacea routing switchers and NEO advanced applications modules, including the LogoMotion II branding solution and NEO SuiteView modular multi-source display processor.

Leitch’s product portfolio offers an extensive range of platforms that allow broadcasters to create a streamlined, integrated workflow for the production, processing, transmission, storage, management and display of content in both SD and HD formats.

Leitch’s Opus HD digital master control switcher provides dual-channel effects and squeezes, audio processing capabilities, keys, audio overs and quick selects. The company’s NEO advanced applications platform offers a full suite of HD, SDI, analog audio and video and AES modules, including frame synchronizers, upconverters and downconverters and content branding with LogoMotion II.

The NEO SuiteView modular multi-source display processor features auto-format detecting inputs that support all formats including HD, with resolutions up to UXGA.

Integrator large-scale routers offer route all signal formats from analog audio and video to HDTV within the same frame. Panacea routers offer can be easily tailored to meet the requirements of specific applications.
