DirecTV Vice Chairman Hartenstein to step down
DirecTV Group Vice Chairman Eddy Hartenstein has announced his resignation effective at the end of the year.

Hartenstein, 54, played a critical role in the creation of the direct broadcast satellite service. He was an executive at Hughes Electronics before News Corp. took over DirecTV.

Comcast commences HD telecasts of Denver Nuggets
Comcast began carrying Nuggets NBA games in high definition last Saturday for its Denver customers.

In total, Comcast will telecast 40 HD Nuggets games this season in HD through its partnership with Altitude Sports & Entertainment.

Cox Sports Television will televise Central Connecticut men’s and women’s basketball games this season. Cox will produce at least eight men's basketball games and one women's game.

Q Television Network inks deal for rights to Gay Games VII
Organizers of Gay Games VII have signed a contract with California-based Q Television Network granting the new network television, radio and Internet broadcast rights in a deal valued at more than $3.2 million. Gay Games VII Sports and Cultural Festival will take place July 15-22 in Chicago.
