USGA, NBC SPORTS extend broadcast contract until 2014
NBC Sports and the United States Golf Association have extended their current broadcast rights contract.

The network’s coverage will run through 2014.

In 2005, NBC Sports will broadcast more than 35 hours of USGA championship coverage.

Broadband ESPN service to offer free sneak peak
ESPN360 will make its broadband service available to all broadband users Jan. 29-30, in conjunction with the beginning of the Winter X Games Nine in Aspen, CO. Fans with a broadband connection can view the games and experience the service’s customizable interface, which offers highlights, live games and inside analysis from ESPN commentators.

NBC, National Lacrosse League ink historic deal
The National Lacrosse League has signed a television agreement with NBC Sports - bringing the lacrosse to network television for the first time in the sport's history.

NBC will provide live broadcasts of the NLL All-Star Game, Feb. 26, and Champion's Cup Final, May 14.

Champ Car group selects Molson Sports & Entertainment
Molson Sports & Entertainment will broadcast 2005 Champ Car World Series races. Champ Car President Dick Eidswick said the organization chose Molson to improve its television presentation, which appears on NBC, CBS and Eurosport and Eurosport 2.

NBC hires Teletrax to track promos electronically
NBC Affiliate Advertising and Promotion Services (AAPS), part of The NBC Agency, has entered into a long-term contract with Teletrax to electronically track network promotional material aired on U.S. television.
