Thailand’s UBC expands Facility-2 with help from Dayang


When complete, the expansion at UBC will enhance the production, playout, storage and retrieval of media assets at Facility-2 Sports Production and Media Asset Management departments in Bangkok.

United Broadcasting, Thailand's largest broadcaster, placed a $4 million order with Dayang as part of a major expansion of its Facility-2 Sports Production and Media Asset Management departments in Bangkok.

The contract includes 12 D3-Edit 5100P online editing stations, four new VIPS-4L-1225P ingest servers and eight Dayang D3 transcoders. The Sports Production facility will deploy six Dayang VIPS-4L-1225P servers for ingest, six D3-Edit-1200 offline editors and five D3-Edit-2100P online editors. Voice dubbing will be performed on two D3-Dub-2000 stations.

The Media Asset Management department will be expanded with a D3-MAM-UP-IO for upload and capture, three D3-MAM-CAT for cataloging, expanded D3- MAM-WEB Internet-based video browsing and eight MAM-dedicated D3 transcoders.
