Tandberg Television to showcase N2 on-demand solutions

The MediaPath Secure Content Delivery System provides secure point to multipoint delivery of digital video and other content for video on demand and other interactive television services.

Tandberg Television is now offering its on-demand products under the brand N2 On-Demand Solutions. The new package is part of Tandberg Television’s expansion into the on-demand entertainment world and include a range of products for content production, inventory management, and program distribution.

Among the products are: Xport Producer for manual and automated encoding and VOD metadata preparation, MediaPath Secure Content Delivery System, and AdPoint, a complete management solution for non-linear advertising.

Xport Producer enables network operators, content providers and aggregators to prepare and manage their own on-demand content. Using Xport, customers can perform “one-click” encoding, create CableLabs-compliant metadata, edit content, insert ads and other video clips, and prepare content for distribution to VOD servers.

The MediaPath Secure Content Delivery System provides secure point to multipoint delivery of digital video and other content for video on demand and other interactive television services. Specifically designed for the on-demand era of digital television, MediaPath provides a scalable platform for media asset delivery that allows network operators to establish a direct relationship with content providers. It streamlines and automates the process of receiving, prioritizing and propagating on-demand content.

For programmers and cable operators looking for a complete solution to produce, manage and place non-linear advertising, Tandberg will show its AdPoint system. With new technologies such as DVRs and VOD challenging traditional TV advertising business models, AdPoint provides a core infrastructure to support the entire spectrum of new advertising vehicles, such as managed local and nationally sponsored content portals, targeted on-demand ad insertion, long-form direct response fulfillment and iTV ads.
