Software Generation Ltd. (SGL has added Clustering to its SGL FlashNet Archive Management Suite, allowing broadcasters’ to maximize the media usage of their digital tape and DVD libraries without compromising their existing systems.

SGL will be showing their solution on stands at IBC including Avid, Grass Valley and IBIS. FlashNet allows broadcasters to organically grow the size of their facility by adding multiple FlashNet servers to their existing infrastructure.

Because FlashNet is network centric, broadcasters can add additional servers to significantly increase performance and reliability by offering greater flexibility and unlimited expandability. Clustering will also provide distributed archive and restore functionality with automatic load balancing of servers.
