Raidtec RAID storage array introduced

While many organizations are using SAN and NAS solutions, Direct Attached Storage, at the heart of the new Raidtec CS3102, remains the simplest and most widely accepted method of implementing server storage.

Vista Storage, formerly Raidtec USA, has introduced the Raidtec CS3102 rack mounted SCSI-SATA RAID storage array — designed for cost-effective departmental, document imaging, audio/video streaming and disk-to-disk backup applications.

The Raidtec CS3102 is host and operating system independent, and features dual Ultra 320 SCSI host connections and hot swap disks, power supplies and cooling fans as standard. Twelve drive bays in the Raidtec CS3102 accommodate Serial ATA (SATA) disk drives in a high-density 2U enclosure and up to 4.8TB of storage capacity.

SCSI-SATA technology in the CS3102 is designed to accommodate SMB requirements to balance price and performance to meet the bourgeoning demand for data storage assigned to a single PC.
