The New York Mets has purchased a Ross Video Synergy 3 digital production switcher as part of a recent video scoreboard upgrade at its Shea Stadium ballpark.
The stadium previously had an analog 4x3 video scoreboard and has upgraded to an SDI 16x9 Diamond Vision LED video scoreboard. The Synergy’s Aspectizer option adds an on-board aspect ratio converter to handle a mix of 4:3 and 16:9 sources while maintaining the correct aspect ratio.
Shea Stadium in Flushing, Queens, NY, has been home to the New York Mets since 1964 and also hosts other sports, entertainment and cultural events.
