MultiDyne introduced at IBC2006 its SFP-HD-SDI, a solution for transmission of digital video component signals through fiber using standard optical transceivers. The system is compatible with any optical transport system — such as WDM platforms and digital cross-connects — as well as MultiDyne EOS Electro-optical Switchers.
The system allows digital video data to travel across the sophisticated optical infrastructure of the metro and inter-metro network where links of 100km or more, and the use of WDM technology, are increasingly common.
