Miranda to introduce expanded HD product line at NAB2005

Miranda’s Imagestore HDTV master control and channel branding processor features a new dual DVE and 16 channel audio mixing.

Miranda Technologies will launch an array of HDTV products for NAB2005. Product offerings include a master control switching and channel branding processor, advanced HD signal processing interfaces, and expanded station monitoring and control solutions. Miranda is also extending its range of workflow enhancing, camera mounted HD and DV interfaces.

Miranda’s Imagestore HDTV master control switching and channel branding processor features a new dual DVE and an integral, multi-group audio mixer. The dual DVE option allows high quality, dual picture-in-picture effects for program junctions and promotional graphics.

The company has extended its range of Imaging Series XVP HD interface modules with an HD cross- and downconverter, an upconverter and cross converter, and an HD frame synchronizer and downconverter. These new interfaces all feature firmware that can be upgraded to provide additional signal processing functionality

The iControl monitoring and control over IP system will be on display at the show. It includes incoming feed management, multichannel HD/SD master control, and network operation centers for cable, satellite and IPTV operators. Many new features have been added to iControl, transforming it into a high-level element management system. The system leverages IT industry standard SNMP protocols for monitoring and control of video as well as all the surrounding transmission, networking and building infrastructure. Miranda’s range of HD and SD camera-mounted interfaces has been expanded with the DVC-802/822 HD downconverter and DV encoders for Sony and Panasonic HD cameras, as well as the MDC-902/922 HD downconverters, which feature 24P to 50i support.

The DV-Bridge-CAM interface for DV cameras provides DV to SDI conversion. The interface fits on a DV camera’s tripod mount, and enables compact DV cameras to output broadcast standard video.
