K-State adds new stadium video

Kansas State football fans will be able to watch replays on a new Daktronics ProStar display system next fall.

Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, has contracted with Daktronics to design, manufacture and install an integrated scoring, video and advertising display system at the Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

The new, fully integrated display system will include a large ProStar display, measuring 23ft high by 61ft wide and two ProAd digital advertising displays, each measuring about 5ft by 28ft, which will be installed behind the south end zone.

The plan also calls for two auxiliary ProAd LED displays, each measuring 6ft by 42ft in the south end of the stadium. On the north, a ProStar LED video display, measuring 13ft by 23ft, will help keep fans informed along with a custom LED scoring section for in-game scoring and timing information.

The new displays will be operated with Daktronics Venus controller and V-Link video processors. Installation is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2006.
