HSBC begins second phase of digital signage network rollout

HSBC has taken the next step in utilizing its digital signage network, which started with the installation of plasma screens in HSBC's Dubai Internet City office as well as its branches across the UAE.

The company is expanding the project by installing additional screens in the customer facing areas after its management found that these digital screens enabled the bank to enhance its internal communication between management and staff. A consistent stream of messages to staff are disseminated easily in a user-friendly manner and updated constantly. HSBC and its technology partners, Specialized Software Services and Scala, were awarded the Best in Class Creative Content: Financial Market award at the 2006 Digital Retailing Expo in Chicago for the first phase of the implementation. After this next phase is completed, HSBC management plans to install screens at the ATMs in the remote sites for phase three.
