ETERE to show tape archive manager at IBC
By TVTechnology published
With Tape Archive Manager, content is automatically sent to scheduling for direct playout to air.
ETERE Automation, an Italian provider of broadcast automation systems, will showcase Tape Archive Manager at IBC2005.
Tape Archive Manager is an integrated intelligent archive manager that follows operator preferences and is able to retrieve requests for video archival material. For example, in a newsroom environment, if the operator starts to browse content, the system anticipates the operator’s desires from the search and the tape is automatically prepared for viewing. In transmission, the content is automatically sent to scheduling.
The company will also demonstrate FTP transfer directly from a VTR.
ETERE systems feature a shared framework to manage all television functions, including automation, recording, archiving, scheduling, air-time sales, indexing and media asset management.
