CHUM Television to update newsroom systems at two properties

CHUM Television has installed the Avid iNEWS system at Citytv Toronto, and The New VR in Barrie, Ontario.
Canadian broadcaster CHUM Television has deployed an Avid iNEWS newsroom computer system at two of its 12 independent television properties.
The broadcaster purchased and installed the iNEWS for its flagship station, Citytv Toronto, and The New VR (CKVR) in Barrie, Ontario.
Various pieces of Avid equipment have been in use at Chum stations for more than six years. The station group uses more than 50 Avid Media Composer systems for its entertainment and information-based program editing, two Avid|DS systems, and one Avid|DS HD system for high-end editing and finishing of features and special projects.
