Barco announced a networked broadcast monitoring system that provides high-quality, low latency distribution of video sources and metadata over an IP network to multiple screens. The system enables an operator to monitor the entire process while displaying live video through a facility.
This solution consists of high-quality displays (rear-screen projection modules or LCD panels), new NG system hardware and the networked broadcast monitoring suite software. The NG system hardware comprises a rack-mountable chassis, with redundant power supplies and integrated shelf-management module, and is equipped with hot-swappable auto-sensing input boards supporting SD and HD video.
One rear-screen projection module is capable of simultaneously displaying multiple analog and digital video feeds together with related metadata, audio metering information and computer applications. Two or more modules can be combined into a display wall to monitor hundreds of signals.
