NFL Network has expanded both operations and technology within the Ascent Media Network Services (AMNS) facility in Stamford, CT, including new HD service offerings.
The NFL launched its cable and satellite television venture in November 2003 with AMNS supplying operations, scheduling, engineering and supervisory staff in an all-inclusive technical services package. On Aug. 1, NFL Network implemented a dedicated master control suite that supports mirrored SD and HD program feeds. Both SD and HD feeds are transmitted to cable and satellite affiliates 24 hours a day.
