Leader Electronics is demonstrating its new LV5800 modular multiformat broadcast signal analyzer this week at Video Forum 2007 in London.
The unit enables four SDI or HD-SDI sources to be viewed simultaneously. This capability reduces the time required to compare incoming signal feeds and simplifies the task of identifying a defective signal or channel. The LV5800 has twin auto-detecting inputs and is compliant with all HD-SDI and SD-SDI standards, including 1080p/50 via Dual Link.
The intuitive user interface of the LV5700 and LV5750 is retained in the LV5800. This operational standardization has proved popular with program producers, post-production facilities and broadcasters because it allows staff to migrate easily from one instrument to another without having to learn a new set of operating routines.
The LV5800's front panel, including a high-resolution 1024 x 768 pixel XGA display, can be detached from the main body and mounted directly to the back of a camera or to the wall of a mobile production vehicle. This eliminates the need to house the entire rack behind the mounting surface.
