Dielectric to show new MobileMedia solutions at IBC2008

At the upcoming IBC2008, Dielectrics will debut a suite of new filters and MobileMedia antennas designed specifically for spectrum owners who are transmitting content to wireless handheld devices.

The 700MHz DR filter, a stringent mask bandpass filter, is designed for cost-effectiveness and delivers up to an 800W power capacity in a rack-mountable, compact design. It delivers extremely low insertion loss compared to similar filters and exhibits less than 0.6dB of integrated insertion loss over the band. Other typical system components, like couplers or harmonic filters, can be integrated to create a complete RF system in a 3RU space.

Dielectric’s new 700MHz 150W repeater filter is a compact and cost-effective component for spectrum owners in the 700MHz spectrum. The filter supports up to 150W of power and exhibits less than 1.5dB of integrated insertion loss over the band. Rack mountable, it integrates easily with existing components for a complete RF system.

The TUM antenna, a new high-power, broadband UHF elliptically polarized panel antenna, delivers a variable polarization ratio from zero to 100 percent while maintaining an excellent axial ratio. A single-input design reduces feed system complexity and improves overall system reliability by eliminating unnecessary connections. The TUM antenna provides 200MHz bandwidth, with a VSWR less than 1.1:1, and a power rating of 2kW per panel.

The newest addition to Dielectric's TU Series of UHF antennas is a vertically polarized, high-power broadband UHF TU panel antenna, which adds vertical polarization to the TU line's Deltawing design.

Dielectrics will also be showing its new RF Scout XLT monitoring system and a re-engineered Dual Switch Controller, both of which add touch screens and enhanced Web server applications and can be networked.
