Acrodyne Industries’ new XD universal exciter/driver converts existing UHF analog transmitters to full-power DTV service for stations requiring a flash cut DTV solution.
The XD uses the same technology employed in Ai’s Quantum transmitters and uses the latest Rohde & Schwarz components. The SV800 digital exciter relies on the latest algorithms for the utmost overall transmitter correction. Upgrades for mobile/handheld service are as easy as loading new firmware.
A secondary exciter with automatic switchover capability is available as an option. The XD System also comes with a system computer that interfaces with an existing transmitter’s control system.
