Iroquois, ON, Canada – September 4, 2008 – Ross Video releases an addition to the openGear family with the ADA-8401, a core product that compliments the existing video distribution line.

The ADA-8401 supports audio sampling frequencies from 30kHz to 192kHz, provides eight copies of the incoming signal, configures to four copies for high density distribution in the DFR-8320 platform and provides full signal monitoring with Dashboard.

“With the release of the ADA-8401 within the existing 20 slot frame, our customers now have the ability to mix high density A/V distribution,” said Eric Goodmurphy, Marketing Product Manager, RossGear. ”Ross now has a very impressive solution for signal distribution.”

openGear is an open-architecture, 2 RU modular frame system designed by Ross Video and supported by more than 17 different terminal equipment manufacturers. openGear offers clients the freedom to choose the best technology from a wide range of manufacturers products to meet the needs of a broadcast, production, or distribution facility while maintaining a compatible openGear frame infrastructure.
