Shotoku Broadcast Systems debuts two new robotic control systems

Over at the Shotoku Broadcast Systems booth, company president Naoki Ebimoto showed me their two new robotic control systems — The TR-T and the TR-S.

The TR-T touch control system controls both Shotoky and third-party robotic camera systems. A single operator can control up to 16 cameras. The panel style uses multicolored illuminated keys to communicate system status and control settings, with the same high-precision joystick for smooth on-air control. The system is compatible with all Shotoku heads as well as third-party systems.

The TR-S is a high-capacity remote control panel that expands to support up to 16 camera channels. It uses the same features and interface as the company's TR-8S but includes state-of-the-art panel keys; clear, bright LED illumination displays; and a high-contrast LCD that indicates the current status of all cameras in the system. New setup facilities enable key features and performance characteristics to be modified from the control panel itself. In addition, the Type-S panel integrates with all Shotoku remote pan and tilt heads.
