Genesis Networks Offering Turnkey Broadcasting Services From Three Strategic Locations for U.S. Presidential Election Coverage

NEW YORK — Oct. 27, 2008 — Genesis Networks, a leading provider of high-quality global transmission services, today announced that it has expanded its broadcasting package for media organizations covering the U.S. presidential elections in November. In addition to providing turnkey production and transmission services at the historic Hay-Adams Hotel in Washington, D.C., Genesis Networks will offer playout over its worldwide fiber and satellite network from strategic locations in Chicago and Phoenix, the presidential candidates' home cities.

Genesis Networks will be on site at the Hay-Adams Nov. 1-5 to offer a full complement of production services for three live shot stand-up positions, each with a direct head-on view of the White House. Each live shot will include full camera kit and lighting, staffing support, a furnished production area, and IFB solutions, and Genesis Networks will provide access to Internet and cable television broadcasts to enable journalists to follow election results.

Nov. 3-5, Genesis Networks will provide full transmission services from the Hay-Adams, as well as the Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix for the John McCain campaign and Grant Park in Chicago for the Barack Obama campaign. From these locations, broadcasters will be able to link directly into the Genesis Networks global network, enabling connectivity with more than 190 points of presence worldwide, for direct delivery of live video to newsrooms. Transmission services will include compression and standards conversion; all hardware, tape playout, uplink, and satellite capacity services; and Genesis Networks' full 24x7 operations support.

"Perhaps more than any other election in our nation's history, this year's presidential campaign has attracted unprecedented attention from broadcasters and audiences around the world. We are committed to offering all of the resources these broadcasters need to report the news with efficiency, economy, and immediacy from locations that will have particular visual impact on election night," said Paul Dujardin, president and CEO, Genesis Networks.
