ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico, May 21, 2008. EMCORE Corporation (NASDAQ: EMKR), a leading provider of compound semiconductor-based components and subsystems for the video, broadband, fiber optic, satellite, and terrestrial solar power markets, today announced the addition of a 19” 1RU rackmount enclosure, OT-CC-4-1U, to the existing chassis product offerings that support the Optiva® transport product line.
The 1RU rackmount enclosure compliments Emcore’s existing chassis options, which include the 16-slot 3RU, OT-CC-16-100, and the 1, 2, and 4-slot desktop enclosures. The 1RU enclosure houses four Optiva® hot swappable insert cards, and provides the capability of higher 19” rack density when a 3RU chassis is not required.
Similar to the 3RU enclosure, the OT-CC-4-1U features a ruggedized aluminum housing and LED status indicators. The chassis mounting brackets are reversible allowing card loading, as well as electrical and optical connections to the front or to the rear of the 19” rack. Included within the 1RU assembly is a universal 110-240 VAC power supply. With the addition of an Optiva�� NMS card, insert modules are compatible with the OptivaView SNMP Management Suite.
