Triveni Digital Launches New Low-Cost StreamScope™ MT-40LCP Video Transport Stream Monitoring and Analysis Solution

PRINCETON, N.J. — April 13, 2009 — Triveni Digital today announced the release of its new low-cost version of the StreamScope™ MT-40 monitor, a comprehensive, user-friendly solution for real-time analysis and verification of DTV transport streams. The MT-40LCP facilitates end-to-end MPEG-2/MPEG-4 transport stream monitoring and analysis for DTV signals carried by broadcast, cable, satellite, IPTV, or mobile networks.

Triveni Digital will be showcasing the new budget-sensitive model of the award-winning StreamScope MT-40 at the 2009 NAB Show. The new low-cost model of the MT-40 features two PCI card slots that enable broadcasters to select two input types best suited for their operation. In addition to the lower cost, the product also features a significantly reduced size and weight, as well as an optional battery-equipped unit, offering ultimate flexibility for field use.

"In today's economic conditions, budgets are tight but advanced tools are necessary to provide excellent DTV service," said Ralph Bachofen, vice president of sales and head of marketing at Triveni Digital. "For those broadcasters requiring analysis of just two input types, this version of the MT-40 analyzer offers all of the functionality and input flexibility guaranteed by the StreamScope brand. Broadcasters can now implement our market-leading monitoring and analysis technology most cost-effectively to ensure the quality of the two inputs most critical to their operations."

The MT-40LCP supports RF (8VSB/QAM), SMPTE 310, ASI, QPSK, and file inputs. In addition, the new MT-40LCP also supports Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) for non real-time PCR analyses.

With in-depth troubleshooting and analysis capabilities for multiple signals over all commonly encountered physical layers including deep packet inspection, the MT-40LCP can monitor, alarm, troubleshoot, record, and measure DTV transport streams in order to ensure their integrity, reliability, and compliance with standards (ATSC, ATSC A/78, SCTE 35, SCTE 18).

Key features of the low-cost MT-40LCP monitor and analyzer include Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) support for alarming; remote monitoring with full-featured connectivity to remote users; electronic program guide (EPG) display; unique, value-added Program and System Information Protocol (PSIP) and PSI cross-table consistency checking; SD or HD video thumbnails; closed captioning; IP route analysis; and IGMPv3 for IP multicast support. The MT-40LCP also interfaces with Triveni Digital's RM-40 unattended remote monitoring system to provide a meaningful picture of DTV transport streams across a network.
