New Features and Integrations Enhance Performance Capabilities

LAS VEGAS, NV— At NAB (Booth N4031), world-leading media technology innovator Solid State Logic (SSL) will demonstrate new features and third-party integrations for the Gravity family of advanced media asset management systems. These features and strategic partnerships represent enhanced performance capabilities based on real-world feedback from major broadcasters relying on Gravity for news throughput on a daily basis.

Version 1.3 feature enhancements include cross platform Gravity web client support for Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari. Offering H.264 (MPEG 4, Part 10) web proxy files with flexible configuration options, users via the web can now easily import & export content to/from the Gravity system via a PC or Mac. Improved integration with Final Cut Pro offers several export features including the export of metadata to Final Cut fields that are displayed and searched in the Final Cut browser, export of marks and bookmarks from clips and timeline, export to bin folders with clips and the export of audio envelopes, freeze frames, insert color, clip levels and motion effects. The export of auto generated slate as an image with editable text on another Final Cut track is also supported.

Gravity’s powerful Package Production Tool (PPT) V1.3 enhancements include a Voice Over feature that allows for an additional audio track for spot voice-overs, Audio Waveform that displays audio data in the familiar screen format and the Motion Mosaic effect that will disguise faces or objects with the effect capable of moving with the target face or object. Studio Monitor enhancements include drag and drop support, optional VU Meter overlay for each feed, a double click picon option that creates a new monitor window, and a re-sizable clock. Overall performance augmentation of the Studio Monitor allows for more simultaneous streams.
