Comcast Whiffs on Phillies’ World Series Homers

Comcast Corp. is based in Philadelphia, home of Philadelphia Phillies, who are a game away from winning the World Series.

But the hometown company struck out with some hometown fans in Game 3, Saturday night (Oct. 25), according to the Web site Deadspin.com, when the picture disappeared in the sixth inning, around midnight.

Unfortunately for Comcast and its Philadelphia standard-definition customers, the disappeared video came during one of the highlights of the series: back-to-back homers by the Phils.

According to Deadspin, a Comcast spokesman admitted an equipment malfunction stopped signals in the area for 15 to 20 minutes.
