TV Magic Offerings at NRB 2009

TV Magic has been actively involved in making NRB the premier marketplace targeted to the needs of religious media professionals. Working with the NRB committee, TV Magic was instrumental in establishing the NRB Tech Lab, which brings equipment manufacturers together for side-by-side demonstrations and gives NRB attendees the opportunity to take part in hands-on product demonstrations, industry-specific labs, and panel discussions with respected ministry leaders. This is the fifth year that TV Magic has served as a technical consultant for the NRB Tech Lab. In booth 906 adjacent to the Tech Lab, TV Magic will showcase its expertise in helping ministries and houses of worship make the most of current broadcast technologies.

Engineering Services and Design

TV Magic offers complete design, renovation, and build-out of facilities including television stations, post-production studios, houses of worship, city council chambers, college and university A/V rooms, and production studios. TV Magic follows a rigorous five-phase system, a complete, extensive process consisting of initial design, system drawings, and line-item equipment lists that follow on to system installation, proof of performance, and end user system training.

Engineering Consulting

At the forefront of leading edge technology, TV Magic engineers are able to leverage their expertise in equipment to develop individualized comprehensive systems for client-specific projects. By working in tandem with each customer, the engineers are able to gauge client expectations, customize each system, and meet or exceed clients' needs. TV Magic engineers draw on a wealth of experience to provide foresight into every project and minimize or avoid costly mistakes. TV Magic can create specifications and documentation for a large bid or design, or a technical master plan, budget, and schedule for an organization, regardless of size.

System Integration

A project manager is assigned to each system. The project manager tracks expenses and oversees the timelines and milestone deliverables. A great deal of care and detail accompanies every TV Magic installation. Experts prepare, cut, and terminate each cable using a specific cable database that is populated directly from the CAD drawings created by the design engineer. Utilizing detailed cut lists and databases, TV Magic installations progress more efficiently while on the job site, reducing installation time. Once run and terminated, all cables are tested at each end to ensure correct signal quality and flow. Clearly identifying labels with source and destination information is a TV Magic standard. This simplifies future troubleshooting and allows for easier installation of new devices into the system.

Support Services Group

The Support Services Group (SSG) is dedicated to providing maintenance, repair, and engineering labor services to a broad spectrum of facilities. SSG offers annual maintenance and support contracts to assist facility managers in keeping their systems up and running at one set annual cost. SSG also offers 24-hour call center services. Applications that could typically benefit from SSG services include worship facilities, broadcast master control rooms, conference rooms, post-production facilities, council chambers, and production studios.
