An independent feature film now in post production, “A Very Bad Day,” was shot primarily using a JVC GY-HD110U 3-CCD ProHD camcorder outfitted with a Fujinon Th17X5BRM HD ENG/EFP lens.
The motion picture, which could begin making the rounds at various film festivals next spring prior to release and DVD pick-up, follows “five friends who have to rely on their wits to disentangle themselves from a string of bad choices that end up turning into a disaster,” said Fujinon.
The Fujinon Th17X5BRM lens (designed specifically for the JVC ProHD camcorder), provided filmmakers with a high-zoom range, close-focus, and other options necessary for quality HD capture and production. Several of the movie’s shoots came in low-lit areas, such as underground in a sewage drain, in a dusty trailer home, and in a darkened warehouse. But the crew reported no dust or humidity issues, and a minimum of color correction, while shooting in the midst of a Texas summer.
