New Wireless Technology Demonstated in Washington DC May 12-13

The NTIA and the FCC are sponsoring an exhibit of "Wireless Innovations" at the U.S. Department of Commerce Lobby and Auditorium at 1401 Constitution Avenue, N.W. (entrance on 14th Street). Demonstrations will cover new technology including software-defined radio, commercial mobile broadband networking technology and equipment offering personal, fully mobile broadband connections at Wi-Fi speeds that extends for miles instead of yards and a rural wireless broadband Internet system combining Wi-Fi and fixed broadband wireless equipment. The technology exhibits will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday and there will be panel discussions on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. More details are available on the FCC Spectrum Policy Task Force home page at http://www.fcc.gov/sptf/.
