Jonathan Sobel has been appointed senior vice president, strategy and business development, CBS Digital Media.
Sobel previously served as the senior vice president, secretary and general counsel at Yahoo! and will oversee digital rights, M&A targets and new partnerships for the division. He also was one of the company's first attorneys. Sobel also was a partner in the San Fransisco law firm of Folger Levin & Kahn where he was responsible for transactional work and litigation for established and emerging companies.
Larry Kramer, president of the division, called Sobel "one of the most talented and skilled practitioners working in the new media realm."
