Autocue Part of Upgrade at Poland's TVP

Newsroom automation and prompting solutions supplier Autocue have announced a major order from Poland's public service broadcaster TVP, carried out by Autocue's Polish partner, Studiotech.

This installation is part of a major technology upgrade at TVP, which incorporates seven new channels, including one in high definition. TVP has ordered eight Autocue software packages, including five of the company's flagship IP-based QMaster prompting solutions and the compact QBox unit; 16 prompters from the popular Master Series range; and ten additional monitors to replace existing units. The Autocue equipment will be delivered to TVP's headquarters in Warsaw for deployment across ten of its regional networks.

To meet TVP's specific requirements, Autocue customised their Master Series prompters to include S-video inputs, as well as including further modifications to enable backwards compatibility with existing mounts.

TVP Director Wieslaw Lodzikowski said, "The selection process conducted by TVP was highly competitive. Autocue were completely compliant to our requests, which included the ability to connect the external QBox scroll engine via USB. The QMaster/QBox combination also provides us with the unique ability to employ an Ethernet or FireWire connection. QBox in particular provides us with a level of redundancy that was previously unattainable."
