360 Systems to Debut New Image Server MAXX

360 Systems will launch a new high-performance video server with an expanded set of advanced features at NAB2007. The new Image Server MAXX hopes to run circles around the competition with fast FTP transfers to other servers, NLEs and network-attached storage; embedded audio; Remote Workstation software for operation from PCs; and improved operation with MXF files.

The MAXX server provides high speeds and a high level of compatibility with file-based workflows while maintaining traditional video standards with baseband composite video and SDI ports. An input frame sync allows recording of "wild" sources from tape or satellite. New timestamps create accurate As-Run logs for reconciliation of playlists. The new server's internal RAID array provides up to 170 hours of storage.

MAXX Servers are designed for satellite ingest, newsroom rundowns, extra digital broadcast channels, video wallpaper, and standard play-to-air applications. A selection of models offers feature sets tailored to various applications, including television stations, cable networks, satellite uplinks, time zone delay, and Pro A/V markets.

360 Systems will be in booth SU9120.
