Time to train at InfoComm 07

InfoComm has announced a cross-disciplinary schedule of more than 250 classes, seminars and workshops available during its upcoming convention, scheduled for June 15-21 in Anaheim, CA. More than 28,000 industry professionals are pre-registered to attend the trade show, with manufacturer booths open the final three days.

This year, InfoComm will feature more than 80 audio courses. Notable sessions include Syn-Aud-Con’s “Sound Reinforcement for Designers;” three EASE workshops including “Auralisation of Room Acoustics,” “Import and Export of DXF Drawings and Measurement of Rooms and Systems;” and 44 various sessions in the Technologies for Worship area. There are also two levels of classes on networked digital audio instruction CobraNet — “Intro to Networked Digital Audio with CobraNet,” “Advanced Topics in CobraNet Network Application,” “DSP Considerations for Conference Centers,” and “Snake Handling 101.”

According to Randal A. Lemke, executive director of InfoComm International, the show will feature instructors from the InfoComm Academy, EduComm, CABA, the Imaging Science Foundation, IMCCA, Syn-Aud-Con, the ESTA Foundation, Projection Summit and Technologies for Worship, among others.

InfoComm’s Institute for Professional Development, sponsored by Christie Digital, will offer eight different three-day courses starting Friday, June 15. Monday, June 18, will feature intensive one-day training.
