Motorola ships 1-millionth IP set-top
Motorola announced last week that it had shipped its 1-millionth Internet Protocol (IP) set-top.

Besides set-tops, Motorola offers end-to-end video solutions that enable service providers to bring reliable IPTV services to market quickly. Its IPTV platform includes network infrastructure, video headend and transport, MPEG-4 encoding and connected home devices. The company shipped its first set-top in May 2001.

Pioneer Telephone selects Comtrend router for IPTV deployment
Oklahoma-based Pioneer Telephone Cooperative, the fourth largest telephone cooperative in the United States, has selected Comtrend’s CT-5621 multi-port ADSL2+ router for residential premises deployment of IPTV and broadband services.

Comtrend’s CT-5621 supports a wide array of services at high-speed ADSL2+ rates up to 24Mb/s.
