Telesur broadcasts to Latin America with Crispin
By TVTechnology published
Telesur, a continent-wide television network located in Caracas, Venezuela, has selected Crispin to support broadcast operations including asset management, media ingest, device control and on-air playback.
The solution includes two Crispin-supplied workstations, each focused on specific workflow tasks. Crispin’s four-port DeviceServer controls two Grass Valley M-Series iVDRs and a switcher, and Panasonic VTRs. Telesur uses ClipCopX to transfer files between video servers.
The operators use TurboBrowser to quickly search and find any video clip in their system and DubberAssist, for media server management.
Telesur, which went live in July, will eventually extend via satellite to all of South America, Central America, the Caribbean, North America, Western Europe and North Africa.
