Telenor Satellite Services has added the Wideye Sabre 1 Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) satellite terminal and accessories to its product portfolio.
Addvalue Communications demonstrated the latest addition to the line of Inmarsat BGAN satellite terminals June 20 in Singapore at an industry conference.
The sub-laptop-sized Wideye Sabre 1 enables users to conduct simultaneous telephony and IP data communications. Its built-in user interface allows quick set-up and supports multiple data interfaces, including Bluetooth, Ethernet, USB and RJ11. Addvalue engineers are currently working with representatives of satellite operator Inmarsat to complete testing and begin commercial sales of the new equipment in the coming weeks.
