SurfKitchen debuts mobile streaming software at CTIA 2007

SurfKitchen debuted at last week's CTIA Wireless 2007 show new client software simplifying mobile phone access to streaming TV, SurfKit Stream. It is the latest component of SurfKitchen's suite of on-device portal (ODP) software providing a graphical, on-device alternative to WAP portals for mobile content services.

The interactive streaming TV client features intuitive graphical menus for channel switching and quick access to on-screen program guides, along with a soft key that changes the view from portrait to landscape mode that allows a full-screen view. Subscribers can easily discover, view and purchase the content, while carriers have the ability to send content previews and promotions to the handset over the air. The SurfKit Stream supports streaming audio, with planned future support for DVB-H and MediaFLO broadcast networks.
