Pixelmetrix has introduced the TS Storage Calculator for its DVStor MPEG transport stream recorder, player.
With the TS Storage Calculator function, users can calculate their usable hard disk drive (HDD) size, the maximum HDD size for a recorded transport stream and the maximum duration of a recorded transport stream in the DVStor.
Calculations are based on two parameters, the total HDD size of the DVStor and transport stream bit rate of the ASI input.
Another noteworthy attribute is the enhancement to the recording table. The recording tables in the ASI recording, ASI playback, IP playback and USB HDD backup pages have been further enhanced to display the TS bit rate for each TS segment.
