NSCA announces events for 2007 convention

The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) has announced a series of special events and ongoing programs slated for its Expo 2007. The conference portion of the show begins March 13, while the trade show exhibits run from March 15-17 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

Working with software developer BDMetrics, the organization will offer My NSCA Expo, a Web-based tool designed to personalize the show experience through intelligent database search techniques, creating a personalized report matching events and companies with user interests. Conversely, exhibitors will have access to SmartBooth, enabling them to know which attendees are actively searching for their products.

The annual pre-show ExpoJam event will be sponsored by L-Acoustics on March 14. Entertainment will be provided by The Commitments show band. Preceding the ExpoJam at the Rosen Centre Hotel will be the Contractor Caper, a networking event that begins at 6:00 p.m.

The NSCA Expo will also feature an Intelligent Buildings Showcase sponsored by Bosch Communications Systems, two hands-on Church Sound Workshops presented by Fits & Starts Productions and a Digital Signage Showcase with education programs facilitated by The Digital Signage Group. Free hearing conservation education will be provided by the House Ear Institute, including free hearing screenings sponsored by Shure. In addition to the full trade show exhibit area, the show will also feature two dozen companies with hands-on audio demonstration rooms in the conventions center.
